Top 25 best Bollywood movies of all time - Part 1

Top 25 best Bollywood movies of all time, in my opinion and critics rating. We must watch these movies once in our life. May be some people don't agree with my selection or due to the selection limit of 25 films, some good movies may have been left out in my list. But one thing, I would like to make sure that these films have a distinct class which differentiates them from other films.

1.Awara

Awara known in abroad as The Vagabond, is a 1951 Indian Hindi crime drama film. The film expresses socialist themes, and blends social and reformist themes with crime, romantic comedy and musical melodrama genres.

The plot focuses on intertwining the lives of a poor thief Raj, the privileged Rita, and Judge Raghunath, who is unaware that Raj is his son. In the film, Kapoor's poor "little vagabond" character makes a reference to Charlie Chaplin and was also developed in other Kapoor films such as Shree 420, considered a milestone in the history of Bollywood.
The film became an overnight sensation in South Asia, and had even greater success overseas, in the Soviet Union, East Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Notably, the song "Awara hoon" ("I am a vagabond") sung by Mukesh, with lyrics by Shailendra, became extremely popular in the Indian subcontinent as well as in countries such as the Soviet Union, China, Bulgaria, Turkey. Afghanistan and Romania. The film was also nominated for the Grand Prize at the 1953 Cannes Film Festival.
The film is estimated to have sold over 200 million tickets overseas, including over 100 million in China and about 100 million in the Soviet Union. Due to its popularity in so many countries, the film is a candidate for the most successful film of all time. In 2012, Awara was included among 20 new entries in the 100 Greatest Movies of All Time by Time magazine.
